Do DrayTek routers provide Wake On LAN support?

Firstly, what is "Wake on Lan" ?

Wake On Lan (WOL) allows a PC in Suspend (power saving) mode to be woken up remotely by a command sent over the LAN. This is most commonly used in large businmesses, so that the IT department can perform software updates remotely outside office hours.

Most Vigor router models support WOL by telnet command "wol ". You can telnet to router and type in command "wol " to wake up the PC turned off.

Note that WOL also needs :
  • the NIC and motherboard in your PC to support WOL, and
  • the PC needs to be in Suspend mode - not powered OFF !
